Interview formats and timing for the GEMSAS graduate-entry pathway.
Graduate entry through GEMSAS runs on a fixed national timeline, while direct entry schools each publish their own. Here is what is actually confirmed for 2027 entry, what is only an indicative window, and what has not been published at all.
Melbourne calls it a Recorded Online Multi Mini-Interview, or ROMMI. There is no interviewer on the other end: prompts appear on a platform and you record your answers. That changes what you should practise, and it is worth between 50 and 100 per cent of your selection outcome depending on your pathway.
UQ runs an eight-station Multiple Mini Interview entirely online over Zoom. Each station gives you two minutes to read and seven minutes to answer, and the MMI is worth half your final selection score as well as being a hurdle you have to clear.
